The Average EPL game has more views than the other major leagues COMBINED.

EPL average: 12.3 million
Serie A average: 4.5 million
La Liga average: 2.2 million
Bundesliga average: 2 million

Which is why, despite Spanish dominance the last ~ 10 years and German dominance the last few years, the EPL is still called 'the most powerful league in the world'

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1948434-why-the-premier-league-is-the-most-powerful-league-in-the-world

Broadcasted in 212 countries, 4.7 billion annual views and watched in nearly 650 million homes:

Yet the BIGGEST single club match in the world (apart from the Champions League final of course) is El clasico, the clash of titans between Real Madrid and Barcelona. 400 million viewers in the march 2014 game.

despite Real and Barcelona greatly bringing up the average view count, la liga only has roughly 1/5 of views EPL has (2.2 million vs 12.3 million)

Take out Real Madrid and Barcelona from La liga and I'm sure the average rate is around ~ 1 million viewers, less than 10% of EPL.

Serie a will become big again!!!

There are more German league (aka Bayern) "fans" and 3rd world la liga bandwagoners in this subforum than BPL ones

Fendur/trecidumb, b4al, and waw post at a rate of 25-50 normal users spewing delight at their leagues

No post without namecalling. How do you expect anyone taking you even remotely serious if you're always seething like that?

Lol, this thread is not about the "most watched" league but about the "strongest". According to your logic, Serie A > La Liga. Ridiculous.

I just posted some stats and facts proving my point how more people watch EPL than other leagues.

Right now the EPL doesn't seem like the strongest since United and Liverpool are both absolute shite. Chelsea is as good as a super power with only City being able to rival them. Arsenal being Arsenal as usual.

Give Liverpool another Suarez and United another SAF and it'll be back to its #1 spot.
