world football seems to be the ONLY sport that the clubs take sponsorship/endorsement cash from players. what i'm saying is about all sports not just one.

fyi i was a pro-am skater and had a shoe deal with DC shoes and other sponsors and i got way more money from them then i did from planB.
so i'm talking out of experience where are you getting your info from?

It's not the only sport. Might be more of matter of the country rather than the sport because in pretty much every team sport on this side of the Atlantic professional players earn more through their salary than through individual sponsors.

I know people that play or have played futsal and handball here professionally and they got their money through their clubs, not sponsors. The same applies to other sports such as basketball, water polo, etc .

It's different however for individual minority sports such as skating, kite surfing, motocross, karate, etc... the people that practise these sports earn much more through their sponsors.
