There were more blown calls that should have gone to Netherlands, but the kick in question was dangerous and reckless and warranted a yellow or red.


Mexico played the better game up until they scored, Netherlands played the better game after that point...

I'll never understand this "deserve" to win, if you put more balls in the net than the opponent and aren't blatantly robbed by bad reffing, you deserve the win.

I call that good defending. Cleared the ball. Brave of Herrera to come in so low with his head, you could lose your teeth doing that.

Dodge in what way ? Because I certainly don't feel like Mexico did enough to warrant winning the game . It was a well fought match on both sides ... Your defender made a stupid mistake in the box and your team lost for it .

Either team could have walked out winners after that match and I'm just glad it was the Dutch

Are you kidding? It doesn't matter if Herrera hit the ball first. Vlaar cleared the ball. If he hadn't hit the ball, but only the face of Herrera, then you have something to debate about as Vlaar would be too late.

Also, by stating that you think it's dangerous play means you can't argue it should be a penalty, since dangerous play will result in an indirect free kick and not a penalty.
Perhaps you're looking for a kicking foul, which it definitely wasn't.

Doesn't mean it wasn't a stupid play by vlaar... That's a game of centimetres and if he misses that ball or catches more of his face ... He's being sent off . It worked out ... But hopefully lvg discourages that type of risk.




No one is going to say that robben doesn't embellish contact , he flops like a fish when he's fouled...... And it's rather unfortunate ... Unfortunately it seems to be the only way to get proper calls for him... The ref missed 2 earlier penalties ... And would have been a third if robben didn't jump out if the way of a suicidal Mexican trying to take out his legs.

You are not allowed to kick that high with a opposing player is right near you! What don't you understand!?!?!? The Dutch got the biggest break in the game right then and there. PK and a red!

The PK at the last minute is just our luck in round of 16!

All im saying is that had we held up for 5 more minutes, we could have had just as good as chance to win this cup than the Dutch. History for my team. All gone on a stupid call at the last minute.
