Qatar is one of the top 5 richest countries in the world easily so it's pretty sad that you don't know anything about it.

You would have enjoyed it,but for some reason I wouldn't fancy a US WC that much and I'm sure A LOT of the people who actually watch/care about real football will agree with me.
I mean you have 40% of your country making fun of " soccer fags " and shit like that. Your people are too stubborn to ever accept it.

I'm not talking about you,but that's the way it is in general. Your country is too thick on the 4 major sports.
I can imagine that the US WC would be boycotted lmao.

*long story short - There aren't many fans like you who would enjoy the football world cup in the US.

Top 5 richest .. come on.. you know nothing about it.

99% of the money is owned by 1% of the people. Most people living in Qatar are poor Indian immigrants who work for nothing to build the hotels of the rich oil criminals. Nobody lives in Qatar.. a few million people. And it's not close to any large country that has football as their #1 sport. It's rediculous, they will have nice stadiums though.

Money > Sport  Good job Fifa

So they can afford a world cup,did I say anything about Indian immigrants? How does this have to do with anything? ROFL

All you need to know is they have the 2nd highest GDP in the world and the bigger cities look amazingly good. ( THAT'S WHERE THE WC IS GONNA BE HELD AT )

I'm so glad the US didn't get it.

Obviously all the candidates could afford it. So what the hell is the relevance? The people there can't even afford the tickets.

The stadiums will still be packed rofl, isn't even a question.

And from what I've heard, the situation in Qatar's life is getting better, and guess what, the WC is in TWELVE,yes,TWELVE years.

The relevance is that Qatar has the most unique ideas and design out of those candidates.

Watch the pictures and tell me you aren't liking those, not your everyday average-looking stadiums. Football needs something new-looking and refreshing.
Qatar also have a good youth system in football, hell who knows how they'll play in 10 years?

Qatar > US

Why the fuck would anyone want the WC to be in a football-hostile country apart from the few MLS followers.

/e- I hope it'll be held some country like Belgium/France or Holland though and that I could still see it...

Why would we go for a country in which the situation is 'slowly getting better' when there is a choice between 100 countries that are already far more developed and have a lot better location and a longer football history?

South Korea

The world cup draws interest, they could have it anywhere in the world and it would still be popular.......

South korea has a huge number of football fans and is 'near' Japan which also has a lot of fans.

South Africa obviously because it was the first time in Africa, it had to happen at some point.

Qatar.. in the middle east football isn't big or anything.

... In SA we saw half-empty stadiums. So obviously you're not right that the stadiums will fill anyways.

Doesn't mean it won't draw people there, and South Korea was more in response t your history argument since South Korea obviously doesn't have some boastful successful history which is some how relevant to hosting the event..

At least they have a large population and huge football popularity. Qatar has neither.
