he is a VERY promising young german striker / winger with amazing speed and technique and a very decent shot and promising vision and tactical understanding for his age BUT... i think this would be a huge mistake on both parts. first of all, this is his first season playing in a major european league, he's only 19. he hasn't gone through any lows yet, no one knows how he will handle a lengthy injury, being benched (which would be VERY likely given the quality city has up front) or going through a rough patch in terms of scoring / assisting - he is not a fully developed player who you would expect to handle such situations easily and just fight through it no matter what...
give him one more season at schalke (a club he was born and raised into and feels comfortable at) and see how he will handle the growing pressure and expectations before signing this gem and letting it rot on the bench...
Yes I was looking at his videos and he looks very

a confident player with the ball not afraid to dribble at the opposition, 55 million is way too much. If City could buy him for less and send him back to Schalke on loan, that would be best for everyone. No way he breaks into the current City side.
Looks like there's a lot of interest in him, and I've heard that Pep is a big admirer of him, so it might be his doing, or the board's doing to please him. Idk.
I don't know how good these videos are, but I remember seeing these videos back in the day of proven players today and they were pretty spot on.
