That's just an assumption...

It's not

When you're 17-21 moving about is not easy. Many players feel very lonely (like Lukaku and De Bruyne both felt) and their development slows down.

Just look at Mceachran, Atsu, Thorgan Hazard, Marin, Van Aanholt, etc.
Sure you made profit on most of those, but there careers have slowed down.

I don't think mceachran or Marin are good enough to start for chelsea. Atsu-hazard maybe in the future and same with van aanholt.

Then the club simply has to let them go, leaving them in the service of your team without any chance of playing is stupid.

you got good points already, what bothers me most is that there is absolutely ZERO plan behind this
no philosophy, no throrough checks, there is no type of player you are looking for

just buy anyone who can run straight......

Like they did with Bruma for instance. But to be fair most youth systems in England are non existant or bad or run wrong.

Yet the best english youth teams>>> Ajax/psv
The only problem is the Dutch league is mediocre and they can afford to play youth more than the prem.

No they don't.
But my point is that they aren't tought the system they are going to play if they ever make the A squad. Therefor they don't easilly fit in. The "talents" are able to play just as well in a higher and better leagues as long as they have older players to guide them. Look at the Spanish teams, they have a lot of talents and olders players yet the talents fit in better because they know what's expected of them they have always played that system.

Spanish league is also easier than the prem.
The prem is much much harder for youngsters to fit in, it's very fast paced.
Spanish league is much slower.
