didn't we have a couple of dutch posters here once?

wouldn't mind their input on our latest signing jean-paul boëtius from feyenoord.

I know him a bit, solid player but lacks the end product.

He is past it. He once was a great talent. Feyenoord sold him because of a few cases. Getting mad not playing in pre season. Not willing to put in extra training hours, and ofc the latest of all failures and why i stated he is done at Feyenoord. Getting a stupid yellow and then applouding the ref sarcatically knowing you are one man down already and you surely will get a second yellow.

He is a decent player at best when he is motived.

E: Decent in the way of when a team has a good day, he might produce, but more than often he doenst pull his weight and or doesnt produce chances or goals.

thanks for the feedback guys. that explains his pricetag. we have a weird winger rotation going on here in mainz, just can't seem to find a real starting pair, constantly selling and buying mediocre ones...

btw, he addressed those situations in his signing interview, admitting that he fucked up and that it's unacceptable behaviour from his side (well, there's no way you could reasonably deny it anyway) but stressed that he has learned from it and that he never did something like that before.
still, not exactly the kind of behaviour i like to see, and also not the kind of player we usually sign but hey, he's still quite young and i'll obviously give him the chance he deserves. as long as he didn't try to deliberately injure or racially abuse someone i think that's just fair...

I liked him during his short time at Genk. Felt like he has it in him to make it to atleast the sub top. I think he needs to stay at one club for a longer period.
