There are fields the USMNT use that they have great records at due to climate, those being the northeast fields. Columbus, Foxborough, Philadelphia, New York City, etc. They really need to stop playing games in parts of the US that are hispanic heavy. I believe there was a game this WCQ where there were more supporters for the central american team than the US had supporting them. That cant happen in a "home" match.
That really sucks, and it's sad to hear. I think the same thing happened in France, with some friendly games against african teams, but worse, as many people (immigrants and sons of immigrants) were not only rooting for the away team, but also booing the french team and its anthem.
I can understand immigrants siding with their country and wanting them to win (I would too)... but actively rooting against the country that has welcomed you with disrespectful chants and boos, is something I think is intolerable. And when the kids of these immigrants prefer to root for the away country over the country on your their passport, it's a good indicator that there's some messed up problem in the integration process.
