No, just no... Manchester City may be the best English team currently... but seeing how English football in general has become a joke over the last 2 years, that doesn't mean much when playing squads that have actually proven themselves in UCL.

well i'm not even concerned with that. gladbach could have scored more but sevilla had their chances as well, overall a well deserved win and i honestly wasn't worried at all after gladbach finally scored the first goal.
it's really the ref and the linesman on the near side that made some more than questionable, outright shocking decisions today and i hate seeing that because if a game is closer than today's one, such things decide who goes home with the 3 points...

especially concerning if you have a relatively inexperienced team like gladbach playing against a veteran spanish or italian team that knows and pulls off every dirtbag move there is to give them an edge and the ref so blindly falling for and rewarding it.

yes, you're right, let me clarify: i did not mean to say that every spanish / italian team does it all the time in every match 100%. also, if the refs don't step up their game i can't even blame the players too much because if they get rewarded they would be naive not to do it. so it's sort of "clever".

at this point i'm actually not sure if i'm pissed because many of our teams are not "clever" enough to play like that or if i should just accept the points / chances / titles lost because of that since it would mean giving up the idealistic idea the game could still change for the better if you root for "your" teams doing the same...

and just to clarify: i'm not saying you don't ever see dives / appeals to the ref / other faggotry from german teams - no, it happens here as well and i hate it just as much but to be fair, it's nowhere close to spain or italy...
