Defensively, we weren't all that bad actually. It was the sending off that really threw us off.

Their first goal was a stroke of luck, a routine headed clearance that was well controlled by Gera and struck on the volley.

Agger's sending off was harsh, but mistakes happen all the time. Agger - Skrtel pairing is actually quite decent.

The problem after the sending off was Carragher coming on. I love the man and he's been a great servant to the club, but he's well passed it. Coates should be getting the nod in situations like that as he's gonna need a means for development into the team. He's young, not the quickest but quicker than Carragher, and has good technique with the ball and can read play really well. He should be slowly integrated into the team.





Side note, good news for Liverpool fans, Skrtel has signed a new contract to stay with the club!!

Rodgers resting Suarez, Gerrard, Skrtel and Johnson for the match against Hearts.


Glad he's focusing on the league more than Europa. With City just around the corner, these 4 will likely be key. Only worry is, there's still a good amount of money coming in from it which could benefit us in the long run.

you lost to (my club) WBA 3-0 and are hoping for a result against city? :S

no disrespect but at 200/1 at the bookies i've hedged a bet for Liverpool to get demoted.
Rodgers is WAY out of his depth and has made no good signings.
