I'm surprised he isn't doing well in Spain, I thought la Real would suit him.

The only reason he hasn't been fired yet is because of the money the club would have to pay him in order to terminate his contract.

Well, his Everton only excelled in 2005, and after that they mostly had decent to good seasons.

It's true that you'd expect him to have been able to qualify Everton for european competitions at least more than once in such a long spell at the club, but it's also true that throughout the last decade there have been 6 teams in England that have had far superior squads than the rest.
