King Pearson don of building a team with scraps. Have faith, despite his son's antics he's a great manager and I'd gladly have him back at leicester.

Done everything required of him while people put him down. Said he was the wrong guy to lead us in league one, won it, told he'd fail getting us in the prem, did it with over 100 points, told he'd fail keeping us up, did it in amazing style. And the team he largely built went onto win the prem.

Plus, if anyone pisses him off he'll just choke them or call them an ostrich. ;)

Dont question his ability as a coach but I think he will have trouble adjusting to Belgium and the way things go here.
Foreign trainers rarely make it in Belgium (exception of some dutch trainers)

0:1 vs mainz - really bad game
usually a 0:0 game but we gifted them a pen after a horrible pass

looks like we are trying to copy our away streak from last season ( 9 straight loses in a row )

+ our striker got a red card in the 90th ( not sure why - might insulted the ref )

next game in östersund ( sweden ) on thursday

agree. was a lucky win for us, this game didn't really deserve a winner.

that being said though, ofc i happily take the win - especially after the badluck and horrendous decisions against us in the last couple of weeks - but ofc your boys were not at fault there, so i understand your frustration...

Is it just a bad run of form for Mainz or has something changed? (did they lose a big player or anything)

Haven't been up to date with the Bundesliga at all, so I have no idea.

well it's a bit of both... and then some.

the malli transfer last winter was a massive loss, he was the heart and brain of our team and could not be replaced equally - we also lost our most prolific striker to cologne this summer (the guy who scored the 0:1 at arsenal).
also, i think it was wrong to let schmidt (the guy who masterminded wolfsburg's comeback in munich yesterday) go - the bad results of the 2nd half of last season were not his fault imo. our new coach is ok but i think schmidt was clearly better.

that being said though, this is obviously just part of the game for the smaller clubs in germany and i can see how someone would dismiss these "excuses" (including some dodgy decisions and badluck in some situations / games), as our competition has to deal with similar stuff.
then it comes down to the simple truth is that mainz has been "overperforming" for a good couple of years now. in terms of individual player quality and budget we honestly are just one of the small teams within the bundesliga, and fighting against relegation should not be a huge surprise, even though that's obviously hard to accept as a fan...

Austria Wien playing RB Salzburg away today.

Austria haven't won in 13 games against them :/ usually play a decent first half and then get stomped 2nd half.. -_-

Lets see what today brings..

Mallorca demolished Llagostera with a 4-0 score today.

Llagostera is a very small club. Despite them miraculously making it to Segunda for a brief spell a couple of seasons ago, they are basically a 5th level club and even being in Segunda B is a success for them. However, they have a pretty competent team that should keep them away from relegation and they hadn't scored a single goal away from home until now, so it's great that we managed to net four. I couldn't watch the game because I've been away, but apparently we were very superior and it was a very deserved result.

And the best news today is that Elche drew at home against Atlético Baleares, so we're top of the league with a 2 point lead over them B)
