Still being linked with Jonas Hector.

Across our back line, we seem to have a decent amount of depth for the competitions we're in this season, just not too sure of the quality. I'd gladly swap Moreno for Hector though!

LB - Moreno (Hopefully replaced by Hector), Joe Gomez

CB - Sakho, Lovren, Matip, Klavan (Gomez can play CB too, as well as Andre Wisdom. And we still have Tiago Ilori)

RB - Clyne, Connor Randall (I think Randall is a RB, would have been happier keeping Flanagan around)

As we won't have European football, this seems like a good enough amount of depth. However, we've also had quite a few injuries to CBs recently so it may be beneficial to bring in one more experienced one.

Only problem is, squad size will get too big. I could see the need for another defensive midfielder if we had European football, but Can, Milner, Henderson and Wijnaldum along with Lucas can all do a job there.

I'd agree to an extent with regards to us vs. competitors.

Of those players, I think Can is the only one that shouldn't be upgraded on. At his progression, I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a club captain.

I like Henderson. He's got a great work ethic and good eye for a pass, but if he can rediscover his form from a couple of seasons ago, it might be time to find an alternative. Perhaps have him as a squad player. Also like Milner quite a bit, very industrious player and one of our more consistent ones, but again, to challenge for silverware, I think we need someone more technical/tactical than just industry. Wijnaldum, can't really have an opinion on. Haven't seen enough of him, but here's hoping that he'll be the type of player that can make a difference.

I feel that Grujic could be some player for us! He's looked brilliant since his arrival. But at the moment, he'll need time to develop and adjust to the PL.

Lucas, squad player. We definitely need an upgrade on him. Someone that can do his job, but also serve as a deep lying playmaker.

I think a deep lying playmaker like a lot of the players in the italian league eg. de rossi, pjanic would be great for us
