Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Swansea midfielder Joe Allen.

The midfielder was at Anfield on Thursday night to watch the Reds' 3-0 Europa League third qualifying round second leg win over FC Gomel. And, after Reds manager Brendan Rodgers revealed the move was "imminent", the 22-year-old has now passed a medical to seal his switch to the Merseyside giants.

Allen told his new club's official website, www.liverpoolfc.com: "I feel incredible. Everyone knows the history of this club, it's a massive club, and I'm delighted to have joined."

I think Liverpool is trying a different style of transfers
Liverpool cant afford paying for those big stars as Chelsea, PSG, City because those teams keep rasing the prices insanely
I think pool is looking to buy younger prospects whom can involve into those stars that might be 30-50 m worth

AND WELCOME ALLEN

Its obvious we aren't getting a lot of money due to kennys poor spending (legend though). If he ends up throwing adam for dempsey then I gotta say I'm pretty impressed.
Just maybe there will be one other spending that might get us happy near the end. Enjoyed that last game, been years since I've seen liverpool play that well and score even though it was against a smaller team. I just pray we keep Agger, Y.N.W.A on the his hand.. surely he has to stay!

Mourinho rates that guy really well, I remember watching an interview about some guy who knew mourinho go on about how much he admires rodgers. That bit sold it to me, as I really do rate mourinho!

Can't wait until the season starts :D

Liverpool doesn't have the depth or the quality in the middle to challenge anyone above 5th spot
all depends though, Shittenham are buying Cesar which is basically leaving net open so you might have a chance @ 5th
