6 games left, why not B)

Because we'll be playing against teams that are also fighting for other stuff (4 games against relegation candidates, 2 against promotion ones), and we're like the worst team in Segunda when it comes to keeping cool (we almost always throw away games with silly mistakes or miss the most obvious chances in the last 20 minutes). Unless we learn to calm down during the late game, so that we score our chances and not give away penalties or assist opposing strikers, then there's pretty much no chance. We've been playing great football this season, but it has been proven that it's just not enough.

The only good thing is that there are up to 12 teams that are still realistically in danger, meaning that there will be lots of games between relegation candidates and so many of them will be dropping points.

well sounds like this is a perfect time to start a winning streak and mount a comeback...

Well, I hope so... we still have such a long way to go though. Seen so much bs this season that it's really hard to believe at this point. But yes, it is indeed a perfect chance. I do think it's possible, but I'm not sure the players do and that is what I'm worried about. If they keep playing with fear of losing during the last 20 minutes and like it's over unless a miracle happens, then we're doomed.

lol Emery better get his shit together if he's given a second chance

Would like it if he did, because I'm still not sure if he just needed this season to adapt or he's just not fit for top level teams. Not getting good vibes in any case.

Mallorca will be playing home against Elche tomorrow.

Like I said last weekend, Elche is 6 point above us, marking the boudary between relegation and safety. Winning is absolutely mandatory... if we don't it's over unless a miracle happens.

Elche has just changed manager, so I'm not sure what to expect... hope there's not much of a motivation effect :P

i hear you, it seems like every single time a team swaps managers in bundesliga, we are the first they play against. i don't like it at all, usually they are all highly motivated, fighting for their spots in the squad... good luck.

1-0 WITH A LAST MINUTE GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Elche spent 90 minutes searching for a 0-0 result, and they almost got it. Again Mallorca missed chances, but in the very last minute of injury time... a corner kick which led to a great header that met an insane save by the keeper... but luckily the ball fell right in front of our winger Lago Jr who jst had to push it in.

Great result, and winning like this definitely boosts morale. Our next game is probably the hardest game we have left (away against Valladolid, who are fighting for a spot in promotion playoffs), let's see if we can get something there.
