Man I was in Napoli for the 14 WC. What a fucking let down (football wise ofc)

This is a bitter pill to swallow and it won't fully sink in until the group stages start  but I can't help but to think we will see a rebirth with Donnarumma, Insigne, Immobile etc

hitting the reset button can be a good thing in the long run, if the italian fa guys get their shit together

You we're right, sorry bruv :(

Thanks bruv. This is the lowest I’ve ever felt watching the sport for so many years. It’s really unfathomable for Italy to not be at a World Cup. I’ve watched them crash out in the groups, lose finals, lose deep, I’ve seen Juventus in Serie B but this is by far the worst.

Ventura should be exiled from Italy. The players have been fraudulent too outside of a select few that deserved better.

its even worse than the last sec loss 2000 oder the penalty shootout 1994. and the horrible thing is... it will be good in a few days... the wounds will heal. only to scratch up x1000 in the next summer.

as mich as i love football in general bit i cqn hardly watch this wc without italy. thx ventura, for destroying my summer 18 you son of a bitch!

Lol my thoughts exactly. It's going to suck so bad when the World Cup is on with their infamous music, commercials, coverage, highlights, etc WITHOUT Italy. Wahhhhhhh
After they exile Ventura to Africa I really hope we get Conte back. Or even Ancelotti. Man I'm so sad lol.

I think the next generation of Italians could be really great. I think Immobile is a total stud. And Insigne is Insigne. Let's hope Donnarumma lives up to his expectations on the national level.

Guess I'll be cheering for Argentina next summer :/

Immobile isn't the "next" generation, he's nearly 28 years old lmao. He's good though, I like him but Belotti should comfortably surpass him, shame he just came off injury

The youth is there though, there are things to be excited for, just not now

I think there is still pride from going deep in a tournament, even to lose in a final but to not to participate at all and like this, is a much worse feeling. I'll definitely be watching the World Cup but even if its the best World Cup of all time, it won't be for me

He wouldn’t resign because he just had his contract extended by an even bigger moron named Tavecchio some months before who claimed even if Italy failed to qualify for the World Cup, Ventura would remain. I guess hindsight is 20-20, and these morons collectively made it happen.

Ancelotti is being linked with the vacancy. I would be really happy
