Football fans seem to care more about who their favourite player is better than than the players care themselves. A lot of footballers show mass respect towards one another despite rivalry, dives, tackles etc. and probably don't get that angered by it anyways because its their job to play football professionally. Then, would it not make sense for fans as their job to show support directly instead of juxtaposing their favourites against other. This whole Ronaldo vs. Messi debate has been going on over a little under a decade and will be going on for years to come. Simply put, there is will be no certain best as both players have shown phenomenal performances throughout their careers, broken many records, scored countless amount of goals, and achieved primal statuses. My point here is who cares who is superior? Just let the players be and enjoy the beautiful game as we are lucky enough to even have these two footballers play for their fans.
