It's funny if you compare Müller and Messi's statistics head 2 head Müller has him beat in almost every single way. goals, assists, even tackles that the guy above claimed was an amazing statistic for Messi. not to mention distance covered. every German player and Robben that I compared to Messi has run 80+ km but Messi's only run for 60km.
awards = subjective opinion, for example my opinion is that Nicola Peltz is hotter than Megan Fox. Green is the best colour, etc.
statistics/indices = objective facts, for example 100 is a higher number than 10, 7 comes after 6 and 2+2 = 4

Messi had a good tournement.
He didn't really flop against Germany at all. He was very lively, him and Lavezzi were Argentina's best players in the 1st half, dribbling through Germany's midfield and creating chances for Higuain who had a terrible game. Then taking off Lavezzi for an unfit Aguero was a bad move, and Messi suffered as a result.
Indeed he did, but no where near the best. He wasn't even the best Argentine player of the tournament. I'd give that to Rojo and Mascherano, with Messi third.
Edit:
I just noticed that the picture of Messi with golden ball states that Messi had 11 tackles, but according to Fifa's own website he only had 7. Müller had 8.
Fucking pathetic Messi fanboys have to lie about Messi's statistics in order to prove he deserved something he didn't. Now I'm definitely sure Messi didn't create the most chances or complete the most dribbles.
