Not rooney. He's crap atm.

but klose is getting old and gomez isn't playing atm so i think as striker he would play (definitely not as midfielder). he's still a class player although he seems somewhat fading...

gerrard? no, maybe 5 years ago. but baines (lb), cahill (cb) & rooney (st) would be starters imo... the rest... definitely not...

Cahill.. there are better CBs than him in the squad.. the rest definitely though

nop, that's a terrible solution - the mere fact that he was able to score 2 goals as false 9 doesn't conceal the fact that he just missed too many great scoring opportunities. there should be a real striker up front, no way around it imo...

imo cahill is the best english cb. or who do you think is stronger? he would play alongside hummels in my imaginary "best of both countries" team. and as long as lahm plays rb, we don't have a lb better than baines imo. and rooney, as i said, as striker because our midfield is just too strong but on the other hand you can't afford to bench a player like rooney...

who else would - in your opinion - make a combined squad? because i assume you see more english players in it... so mine would be like:

------------ rooney -----------
--- reus --- götze --- müller ---
-- gündogan - schweinsteiger--
baines - cahill - hummels - lahm
------------- adler ---------------

I agree with every player except for Cahill though because I feel that Jagielka is a little better than him. I also just don't like the fact that Cahill's composure isn't very good and when England try play it from the back he always seems to be wanting to play the long ball which is stupid.. but that's just my opinion maybe you think Cahill is best but atm I think it's Jagielka since Rio and Terry retired. I
