A player is more than the number of goals he scored. Assists, leadership, passes and you're completely forgetting defenders and goalkeepers! Maybe you can compare pure strikers like this but it's a weird approach anyway!

When it comes to comparing leagues however, what aspect would you chose to determine the strength if not titles in competitions they play against each other?
Imaginary matchups like "your top teams couldn't compete with our bottom teams on a daily basis"? Although reality showed that an average team completely owned your top team in both matches!

Messi would be lucky to have 10 assists for Argentina. And from the outside (as we all are) Messi does not show signs of being a great leader, infact he is far from it. And your right, it is a retarded comparison, but it's proved a point. If statistic is all your basing your arguments on, an argument could somehow be made up for anything. And according to you "statistics don't lie" Which according to you, makes me right.

Well, I agree that Messi isn't the god of football and I don't even think he's the best player of the world right now but Messi was never the point. Nor were players.

I also do kind of agree that statistics can't reflect every aspect of the sport but if you look at the results you can only come to one conclusion which is La Liga > Premier League.
If you disagree why don't you just tell me why Premier League is better than La Liga? You don't have to present numbers, just say how they are stronger because I can't see it.

Again, I don't deny the fact that the point difference between 2nd and 3rd is usually bigger in La Liga (although it's pretty big in PL, like 15 points right now?). But the usual argument that the rest of La Liga is crap can easily be disproved by their success in Europa League where they also compete against English teams!
