thats a long time without football ! Must suck for the fans , I hate international breaks and thats only like a week or so haha

The positive for the clubs is that it gives great rest for the players to reduce chance of burnout or injuries for the players

still, coming home after party new year and seeing a bpl game is kinda priceless

Great for the fans, probably sucks for the players knowing they wont be able to experience a proper new years eve drinking party from the age of 16 - late thirties

I love the boxing day games on December 26th also.. Theyre just the best

so... we'll have the last match before winterbreak tonight vs freiburg

its the last home match bro ;)
there is still another game on the weekend and then break

the winter break truly is a blessing, our injured players can recover, those not entirely fit can train in peace and the rest can rest for the important next year B)

winter break is awful imo

xmas holidays make it easier for people to go to the stadiums... it can also be used to host games midweek while keeping high attendances

by cramming up games during these holiday weeks, you can space out other parts of the football calendar that are overloaded with cup, european and league games twice a week (this specially happens during the second half of the season, when injuries and player form can be decisive and end up ruining a season)

Their league only has 18 teams... So right there is less matches than the prem or bbva
Definitely the prem is the most crammed, since there are 2 cups, 20 teams and no winter break

Very true

You cant deny that a winter break gives clubs like, bayern a huge benefit in the champions league games in the business end of the tournament

thats the main point, less games enable us to make a winter break

also lets not forget about the weather, epl and la liga have less severe winters to endure and better circumstances at the time

i CAN be a benefit, this break has destroyed many seasons
this time it is rather obvious with all our world champions and injured players, but it also interrupts the really nice run that we have

teams like real can carry their incredible form into the next year, we will have to start again
