MATIP'S LIVERPOOL DEAL TO BE ANNOUNCED

Schalke will announce the departure of Joel Matip to Liverpool in the summer this afternoon, according to Sky sources.

The Cameroon international, 24, will move to Anfield on a free transfer.

Liverpool will confirm the deal shortly after.

Well I think Liverpool could have done better.
Haven't watched him alot this season tbh, but although he seems to play a decent season, he still manages the occasional mistake that leads to a goal.
He used to do it a lot the last few seasons and he did it on numerous occasions this season. When we (gladbach) beat them in the DFB Pokal this season he managed to slip and we did go on to win the game.

Imo he is okay, but nothing that will bring Liverpool any further.

well yeah, the way he plays looks quite weird sometimes, but he is good with the ball and has improved a lot and can help liverpool

but someone like shawcross would have been awesome i think
maybe i was a bit too harsh. he is still young with 24 years of age and if he can improve even more under klopp, they might got themselves a bargain here
but i'm still sceptical
