A strange move considering it seems like a small transfer fee. Pato was playing and doing ok. He hasn't been the great signing Villarreal were expecting, but he was helping the team and slowly getting better. He was a in a situation were I could understand them selling him for a decent amount, but if it's as low as I've heard then it just seems weird to me.

I heard his wage was going to be 10M€ per season, and the transfer fee under 10M€ (but with bonuses).
