No not really, first there was the whole fiasco at Lille, where fans turned against him (after contract negotiations went sour).
He secured his move to Pool then which was waaay too soon, hasn't been able to progress since then.
Most likely he grew some muscles, but he needs to play more and more.

He's smart tho, so that's why I won't give up so easly on him. Give him a move to a lesser team (Newly promoted Brighton or Newcastle perhaps).

actually i think most of them feel quite happy, they could have sold him in winter for like 50 million but they didnt accept, modeste brought them the euroleague + now 30 millions which seems like a great deal, cuz u would think he couldnt pul another season like this ... they can buy some nice players for that amount who fit well to the team , win win
