Mallorca will be playing home against Valladolid today.
Valladolid is a club that, like Mallorca, "belongs" in Primera and is to find its way back after relegatinga couple of years ago. Their results are, like Mallorca's, pretty inconsistent and are unable to win 3 in a row. They have a team that, like Mallorca's, is stronger than the majority of squads in Segunda and should be higher up in the table. And their performances are, like Mallorca's, pretty solid for the most part but completely thrown away by their inability to finish.
So, it will almost feel like playing against ourselves, let's see what we can do :D
Mallorca 0 - 3 Valladolid.
Completely raped. To be fair we dominated and they scored 3 of their 4 chances while we missed all of our (many more) chances as usual, but the team played with no attitude as soon as Valldolid took the lead. All the goals came from mistakes of our RB, and this isn't the first time it happens...
This defeat is very damaging, and it could result in the sacking of our manager. I don't think he's really at fault (you can't blame him if the team can't finish), but I'd understand it if the board went for a change in the sideline, because we can't go on with these results...
The problem is that we're low on money. So sacking Vázquez would probably mean no (decent) signings in january, and we desperately need a striker and a RB.
