I agree he has good games but consistency is absolutely key for a world class GK

Maybe Jack Butland would be a good addition

Maybe, but I'm wary of bringing in players that have a good season for a smaller club, because its a classic Liverpool maneuver . Jack Butland probably has weaknesses people haven't cared to pick up on or scrutinise because a. its stoke city and b. he's had a lot of clean sheets this season

Even though I dont really know him, I'd rather have Leno, a german keeper Klopp apparently likes. He's one of the up and coming german keepers but he has a good few years of experience, basically been in the first team since age 19-20

watched the highlights of the game and it looks like with mignolet in goal, every corner against liverpool is incredibly dangerous...

He's a good shot stopper, but there are soooo many flaws to his game that he cannot be relied upon if we want to make a proper push for top 4/winning the title.

His distribution is pretty poor, he is pretty bad at corners and free kicks, his decision making is questionable, footwork is laughable.

Yeah its definitely a classic liverpool move  its hard to attract top talent when youre not in the cl though . I dont know who Leno is but he doesnt seem much more proven than Butland to me

Yeah it is difficult, I'm thinking with Klopp at manager we could cast our gaze slightly upwards, and importing players from the Bundesliga would be cheaper aswell. Put that strong pound to good use imo

Leno is a great keeper...

I haven't seen much of him this season, but he's my favourite german keeper tbh

And his release clause is (or at least was last summer) only 18M€... would be a real steal for that price

The fact hes German with Klopp would also help the transition to liverpool .. Again I dont know the guy so wouldnt know if hes an improvement on Mignolet

Almost broke his foot trying to clear a ball passed by teammate. Pass went in goal.
Great blind keeper.
