I disagree

First of all, Dempsey can play all over
http://www.whoscored.com/Players/16369/

Aquilani is a CM, this is the only position he is suited too

I just think his best position is at the attacking midfield and that him playing a winger will lower his quality
I see your point and i agree on him and Aqualani being very different from eachother but i still dont think we need Dempsey for anything because he is a midfielder whom might have topped last year and its not like he exceed the level of the players we already own by much if even a by a little.

Why not the way we play fits perfectly for dempsey he will be cheap, and henderson can be benched.

he is cold infront of goal which we need.

I think you forget that a 10mil offer was turned down and i dont even think 10 mil is cheap for a 29 y/o player who might have topped already(it is his proper value if you ask me).
We have two great young talents (Suso, Sterling and Shelvey) who are ready to make an impact on the first team and they are playing offensive like Dempsey is.

Btw Rodgers said that he think Pool would benefit from playing 4-3-3
What do you think about it? Personally im a big fan of this system and i really think it would fit nicely when we have adapted to it

Reina
Johnson - Skrtel - Agger - Enrique
--------------- Lucas ------------------
--------- Gerrard - Aqualani ---------
Downing--------------------- Suarez
-------- Borini/Carroll ------------

The 3 in front could swap alot between Suarez/Carroll/Downing/Cole/Borini/Bellamy/Sterling/Suso/Shelvey/

Hmm did not hear about the 4-3-3 part do you have a link about rodgers saying this?.
othewise i can see what you are saying, but if we continue with the old formation i think dempsey would be a really good player to have

Dempsey isn't a long term solution.

At best, maybe a stepping stone. At the moment, I think he'd be a good signing for us as we've lost experienced players like Maxi and Kuyt of which the youth in the team would learn off of.

Dempsey had a great season last season, and while he's been mediocre the seasons before, I'm confident he can make a substantial impact. He's mature enough to help the younger players, has an eye for goal, and knows the Prem quite well.

Anyone would love for a young 20 year old to come into the team and light up the league, but at the moment, we're in another rebuild under a new manager and it'll need some time to work.

Siiick! I was gonna travel down to the US to catch both against Roma and Spurs but couldn't get the time off.

Seeing them in action in Toronto though this weekend against Toronto FC.

Martin Skrtel has received offers from other clubs and has given no guarantees about his future at Liverpool

Skrtel was immense for us last season.

Him leaving would be quite a blow. There were also random rumours that Barcelona were eyeing up Agger too. I sure hope both are completely rubbish as it'll be hard to replace a full CB pairing.
