2:1 home win against darmstadt. we've been very wasteful with our chances in the 1st half, should have scored at least 3 and almost got punished by a late (joke) penalty. not much happened in the 2nd half, we got a (weak) penalty to score the 2:0 and conceded another late penalty for darmstadt's goal. 3 points, happy about that but the way we played in the 2nd half wasn't very convincing tbh...

btw, why is Salzburg so bad this season? I mean for their standards at least... they seem to usually dominate the league, but so far they're far away from first place and their european performances haven't been any good either.

Because all their good players get sold/transferred to Leipzig, takes the teams motivation to know half the team will be gone next season anyways. If it wasn't for Jonathan Soriano they would do even worse. I can't see him stay tho if this season keeps going on like this.

And sometimes they underestimate teams like yesterday.
Leading 2:0 until 85. minute then suddenly get 2 goals.

Their fans also aren't happy with the managing, there is alot of problems up there.

Although the rest of your post couldn't be any closer to the truth, I don't think you're right here.
It's not as much about giving up on Salzburg as it is about Bundesliga (40.000 in attendance on average vs. Austria's 10.000, betterTV deals, higher viewer numbers etc.) and Germany in general being the bigger/better market to promote their product and advertise.
Austrian market/advertising is basically covered by the presence of Salzburg in Bundesliga and the product as well as its inventor being Austrian themselves.
