you mean jara checking cavani's oil at the copa last year? well, he was sold last winter after mainz tried to get rid of him during the summer transfer period but to be fair, he was not kicked out immediately, we're not that rich.
however, the management clearly positioned themselves saying this is unacceptable behaviour for a mainz player - even when you're playing in your national jersey...
about rodriguez i'm not sure. i don't expect us trying to sell him right away to be honest for several reasons: he's still young (21), cost us quite a bit of money (> € 2M) and it was the first time he did something like this. again, those are just arguments why i expect him not to be let go immediately, those are NOT excuses for his ridiculous tackle.
also, he was already fined by the club immediately after the match to signal (both him and ofc augsburg and the rest of the league) that the club disagrees with tackles like these.
