I was in Liverpool today watching the game at the pub, and on the train home I was talking with a group of fans who went to the game. We all agreed that players like Lallana need to step up, and while Rodgers makes some questionable decisions and signings, FSG definitely have an influence on signings. Seems like Lallana scores a few goals in the Europa league, gets injured, then rinse and repeat. There are very few consistent players in the team, the most consistent of which is injured right now. I'm still optimistic that we have enough quality to improve and compete, but if Klopp or Ancelotti came knocking I'd take it straight away.

Rodgers is a brilliant coach though ... Liverpools only problem has been making poor signings if you ask me and if FSG are responsible for this then Rodgers should stay. However if Rodgers if responsible for making those shit signings then he can be held responsible

Rodgers can't win games without suarez.. bredan needs to go.. playing 5 defenders against a league 2 team and still concedes a goal????!!! For me there is no light at the end of the tunnel.. Brendan out

He is strong in player development and tactics, both of which he has been surprisingly weak on in the last year. The insistence to play 4-3-3 when we have no wingers is a perfect example. I think it is stubbornness really. As for the culpability of FSG, they are certainly involved but I think Rodgers definitely has his targets and usually gets them. Missing out on Sanchez was a big big loss though, he carried Arsenal last season.
