Yeah, but Walcott could play in a more central role then while di maria takes on the right wing

but isn't cazorla your number 10 in that central role? i'm just asking. i DO think that arsenal need to sign one or two quality players still but imo they need a holding midfielder / fullback / striker more than a winger right now...

Well Cazorla is very capable of playing in more positions, and Giroud would be the one that would lose his place vs Walcott, he wants to play as a striker, would be a sort of false 9 really.

Could be this line up, nn to show defence

--Wilshere-----Ramsey
----------Cazorla--------
Di Maria----------Oxlade/podolski
----------Walcott/giroud---

All theory tho. Not completely sure if Di maria can play other positions aswell

well i'm pretty sure di maria is purely a right winger. you'll have to ask zarkadon but i think he failed horribly the one or two times they tried to let him play on the left wing...
and walcott up front might work (as it did in the past) - but not always. i've never been a friend of that false 9 crap and sometimes you just NEED a big target man up front and that's a role he most definitely can't play...

anyway, we all know how it is with arsenal and big names these days. so i just assume this will just stay a rumor and some other club buys him...

Atm Giroud is in to good form to be dropped to the bench, so I'm not sure what will happen.

A big name like Di Maria could be to much, but as for now I'm just focusing on the team we have right now.

Di Maria only plays on the right. Everytime I see him switch with Ronaldo it never ends well.

I like the Podolski Walcott/Giroud Di Maria front line.

Could always do this too

Giroud
Walcott Cazorla Di Maria

Although, idk if Walcott plays on the left, just thinking having a right footer on the left would increase his goals

Walcott on the left doesn't work that well, when we have giroud in the center it means we need to launch some crosses, and walcott is already struggling with his crosses on the right :P

Di Maria is indeed crap if you move him away from the right wing. Didn't work out 90% of the time, and the other 10% are just ok performances.
