139 passes overall. passing accuracy: 89 %
passing accuracy final third: 80 %
chances created: 0
passes received: bernat 17, boateng 16, alaba 16, dante 14, lahm 13, badstuber 12

i'm not saying he played a bad game, not at all. he played very well and according to his role but i also know what your verdict would have been if it was kroos. certainly not "amazing"...

i cant say how i would rate kroos with a performance like that, because he has never played like that for us^^ (i am talking about the style of play and the defense performance)
and for a more defensive minded player its totally ok to play with the players around you
xabi was always ready to receive a pass in front of the defence, like a good holder should
kroos is not a holder

lets just stop this kroos vs. xabi and related discussions
letting kroos go was a good decision, because he never was that great for bayern and i will never get your obsession with this guy

i didnt watch the game yesterday, but from the looks of it he played like crap against atletico yesterday ^_^

@andi
not really his job to do special things
he does the basic stuff well and thats good for us

the point here is: YOU are obsessed. you always criticised him, you always say he never was great for bayern...
i never said he had just good games or no weaknesses. but i don't understand how anyone with even a tiny bit of actual football knowledge can not see and appreciate his quality...

so you pay a 32 year old 7.5 mio a year to do basic stuff like playing short passes to the defenders around him? that seems like a smart investment...

i never denied his skill and potential, but what good is that if that quality is not brought onto the pitch?

and yes, i guess we pay 7,5 mio for a guy, who distributes the ball from behind (short AND long balls), intercepts passes with his experience, tackles if needed etc.
he plays more than enough passes forward
pep already indicated, that he will rest xabi once in a while in the coming weeks, but thats fine as well
doing the so called simple stuff well (or on a top notch lvl as xabi does so far) in football is more difficult than most people believe
maybe kroos should start with the basics as well

and yes, paying 7,5 mio for xabi who performs on the spot is a better investment than a guy who has 1 good game in 10 and thinks too highly of himself

short and long huh? does the "simple" stuff well on a top level. this is EXACTLY what i told you about kroos (who played considerably more and more accurate long balls and had better passing accuracy too)...
and yeah sure, wanting a better contract (not even as much as alonso gets now!) is thinking too highly of oneself... haters gonna hate...
