I would take Rekik at City right now. However, Milky way is right, having him gain experience at a club like Southampton or Swansea would be beneficial to everyone.

I'd let him stay at a club where he has been for two years plays every week gets better significantly and he can play champions league.

No offense mate, but I think City would prefer to have him play 38 games at a higher level than the level he has played this season, rather than just 6 more games at a higher level.

Plus, he'd be adapting to the league City plays in.

I do get that but since he is just 20 years old he will have plenty of time. IMO

Furthermore, the only reason they wont ever sell Rekik is because he is one of few players who count as own youths.

Wouldn't they rather have a player with CL experience since that's where they always disappoint? Unless they can get him into a team in the BPL that is playing Europe league but that is unlikely

Playing 6 CL games versus 38 EPL games is a decision that is made rather easy. If you are looking at him to become a player for the actual City team then you need to loan him out to a EPL team to see how he performs.

What is to say that he will play 38 games for the other club he joins

Imo if you are good in the CL against the biggest team then you will be in any league - that is what i believe anyway

6 games = form
38 games= quality.

And I'm sure if he were to join on loan to a club he would play almost every match

A player can be on form for a whole season and then go shit the next season

My thinking is he can hold his own with world class players then that is the best option

Man city need to start valuing europe as much as they do the bpl otherwise it is going to be endless failures and if that means taking risks with some of their players then why not

You simply can't judge a person on 6 games, not to mention in the CL there are teams that aren't much better than the sub teams in the EPL

They are doing the right thing with loaning him out to a EPL club, so he can get the physique he needs

Somehow they struggle against these teams though

Requiring a physique for the BPL is a myth.. But even if it is true he can gain that from the gym no problem. The defenders for big teams are quite skinny with the exception of Sakho, Cahill, Jones, Mangala and Kompany - only 3 of these are actually decent atm..

You can be naturally strong i.e terry
