Just had a tenner on Villa to get relegated.

I know it's a donkey cup game, but they seriously look worse than last year, by some distance.

Marcelino sacked from Villarreal.

What. The. Fuck.

He's a great manager... proved it at Recreativo and Racing, and also at Villarreal where he picked the team in Segunda and took them to the CL in just 3 seasons. Apparently he has had a huge clash with the board... perhaps over the signing of a striker (Soldado tore his ACL yesterday).

This is a huge shock, just one week away from the CL qualifier against Monaco.

tbh I wish this had happened sooner; I would have really liked Marcelino as our national team manager...
