There are a few different ways football clubs react to underwhelming seasons.

Some, like Manchester United, sack their manager two days after winning a first trophy in three years.

Others, such as Aston Villa, recruit and then get rid of board members on a seemingly weekly basis.

Then there is Mexican top-flight side Club Tijuana, who put their entire squad up for sale in response to finishing 14th in the Liga MX.

That is a squad that features Brazilian former LA Galaxy player Juninho and is managed by former Mexico coach Miguel Herrera.

The club said in a statement that players still need to report for pre-season duty on 6 June at their home ground to "undergo physicals and medical measurements" but there are no guarantees they will be at the club come the start of the season.

The champions league winner going to a championship side? Seems like a great deal to me.

CD Leganés has promoted to Primera for the first time in the 88 year old history!

It's a huge surprise. They've spent most of their history moving between the 3rd and 4th level. In the 90s they reached Segunda for the first time, and after spending the last two decades moving between the 2nd and 3rd level, they promote to Primera, just 2 seasons after their last promotion from tier 3!

Leganés is, like Getafe, a small city in the outskirts of Madrid. Although they do have a much longer history than Getafe CF (which was founded in the early 80s), I doubt they have much of a fan base (as most people there have probably always supported Madrid or Atlético). I hope I'm wrong though, and we see a proper atmosphere in their games.

In other news, Alavés won the 2nd level (they already promoted last week), and the 3rd team to promote to Primera will come out of Gimnàstic, Girona, Córdoba and Osasuna when the playoffs are played.

It's quite a surprise. He had said in several occasions that he'd never become a manager.
