Since 1966, only Luigi Riva has attempted more shots in a World Cup game (13 vs both Sweden and Israel in 1970) without scoring than Lionel Messi did today against Iceland (since 1966). Shocker.

Ángel Di María has now created 23 goalscoring chances for Argentina over three different World Cup tournaments, but none of those have assisted a goal. Unfortunate.

Lionel Messi has missed four of the last seven penalties that he has taken for Barcelona & Argentina combined (57%). Woe.

Low just said that Draxler would start tomorrow. What the  si either Reus or Ozil will be on the bench.

Knowing Low it will be Reus. He's not injuried this year, but why make him play? He didn't in the last wc either

reus simply cant be on the bench, he is fit and easily our best player
aside from erdogan shit, özil did struggle with back and knee problems

but who knows, maybe löw has to play özil as an agreement with their closely connected agents and business partners (just look it up)
its absolutely ridiculous

Would've taken a draw vs. Argentina before the game but damn, what a defense. I like all of our statistics now. Alfreð Finnbogason has scored all of our World Cup goals. Hannes Þór Halldórsson is the first to save a penalty vs. Messi at a World Cup (I think I heard the commentator say).

At least I can type on here, because my voice is gone lol
