Well I would never count ger out. They can easily work themself up throughout the tournament. But so far it appears as if there are holes down back. Ukraine does it quite well too. Shame on lack of efficiency and that theres neuer.

It doesn't matter how they start off, but rather how they finish. Usually these tournaments are won by teams that grow during the tournament, rather by the ones that start off stomping in the first game week.

anyway, as expected, our "fullbacks" were completely overrun and the defense looks very shaky except neuer who's clearly our best player today.
completely unnecessary to give away control of the game like that after 30 minutes though, 1-0 is not a lead you can sit back on. if you know your defense sucks you have to keep possession and keep pressuring the midfield.

and i still don't get how löw thinks high crosses to "striker" götze is a viable tactic...
