Andre schurrle was. From a shit club like mainz, to leverkusen, chelsea, wolfsburg, and dortmund. That my friend is a mercenary. The same guy in your outdated sig.

Mainz --> Leverkusen
Mainz was a midtable club at best. The move to Leverkusen made perfect sense with regards to making the next step towards trophies and the national team call-up.

Leverkusen --> Chelsea
Same goes for the next move to Chelsea, who were the better/more prosper/more-likely-to-win-trophies club at that time + no German club actually wanted him back then.

Chelsea --> Wolfsburg
He realized he wouldn't make it at Chelsea then. Mostly of course due to the fact that all the talent or tactical education in the world being is immediately rendered useless the moment you step foot into a game of kick'n'rush they blatantly call "football" in England. Wolfsburg had the money to get him back to Germany.

Wolfsburg --> Dortmund
Wolfsburg was basically done as a club after both the sale of de Bruyne and probably moreso after the Volkswagen emissions scandal. They were glad to sell him and it was a step up team-wise (Dortmund has higher ambitions than Wolfsburg) and coach-wise (Tuchel basically scouted him and laid all the groundwork for his development).

He took the necessary steps from smaller to bigger clubs in order to develop one's career. He stepped down with regards to money when he left Chelsea for Wolfsburg while at the same time doing something good for his further career. Same again with his move to Dortmund.

nice breakdown but why do you even respond to that post, treating it like he actually wanted to talk about football for a change?
it was clearly him being petty again - not even american armchair fans have THAT little football knowledge (i hope)...

this thread was surprisingly fun to read^^

imo its a good deal for both, juventus and witsel. no one here wants a player with this attitude in his club.

on the otherhand im with ampoo, maybe it would have been better for his career (moneywise) if he would have joined juve and then with 29 or 30 moved to china or the united states of murica like giovinco for example

Because it only takes one dickhead to ruin a career. If he goes to Juv and snaps a leg he's missed out on his big payday, is it worth risking it because the future paycheck might be slightly bigger?

Surprised he's still alive then tbf. Probably the scariest looking footballer I've ever seen irl.
