Dem excuses. Dem tears.

MLS is just too bad. If the Mexicans can spend more money you just have to make up for it by, let's say giving the players more rest, that's what the league could actively do for their competing clubs.
Also the MLS is much more attractive for over aged European stars, just sign a couple of them. And stop making excuses when you get shit on.

We can't just sign a couple of them, at least not for now. Our market is very limited, our owner simply cannot afford to spend a bunch of cash on over aged players that might not fill the stadium nor contribute.
We got some markets in the MLS right now (like Miami, LA, NY, Toronto) who spend a bunch on players that don't always produce. They can afford that type of risk, we cant.
Here in Montreal, the average price of tickets is around 25$ while in Toronto its over 40$. They also got a bigger stadium and they fill it more often.

Also most players who come to the MLS now, believe they win hit the jackpot all the time. All the rich teams have outbid a bunch of other names in the recent years, it doesn't work all the time.

Joey Saputo our owner thinks it is best to work on the overall aspect of the team, develop a winning environment for a potential striker. Its a fairly easy situation to understand, we just gotta do it a step at a time. Were a very young club and were not on steroids unlike some other American markets that can count on their population.

Sorry for the big comment but I thought it was worth explaining the situation here. We're a growing market for sure with a lot of potential.

Fair enough, I understand the problem and I don't mind a couple of lines to read if it's a reasonable explanation like yours.

I'm just saying - only blaming the money and the ref is too easy. In Europe we also have bigger and smaller clubs, the financial differences are even greater I would say but demanding "our association (the MLS) has to do something about this" like that one guy did is just fucking arrogant and ignorant - you should really double check if he isn't an American posing as a Canadian - those guys will ruin your reputation faster than you can say "mouvement souverainiste".

Pretty much agree with everything you just said lol

but ye its a slow process, fans here and elsewhere need to understand it. Soccer is a 2nd market sport here far behind ice Hockey, even if it is very popular with the younger generations.

Hi I'm the arrogant ans ignorant guy, you shouls watch the games before you start posting.

You sound jealous that MLS teams actually bring old European talent overseas. The Impact had Marco Di Vaio, and he was a blessing for the franchise and it's fans, We all know UEFA has the best clubs and even Liga MX Teams like America will probably shit the bed against them. That isn't new.

I'm just saying that canadian ( and even American) clubs in the CONCACAF get no respect, from opposing fans and referees. the CONCACAF is somewhat of a corrupted joke in itself. It's a miracle the Impact got that far.

Well nobody likes to be disrespected, I understand you have an issue with that but you know it's always gonna be hard for the new kid. You have to show you're worthy, be humble in defeat (and not blame the ref even when he's a sack of shit, and not blame the money and circumstances) and respectful when you win. I gather that being in the finals already was a big deal for you guys so maybe build on that, learn from the experience and maybe next time you will be the winner. Wouldn't be the first time one of the poorer teams from a weaker league wins a title.

And respect is nothing you can just demand and get it, you have to earn it. Maybe next time, go Canada! ;)

This just shows mls===Mexicano league.
I mean Montreal atm is a middle team in the mls. It is starting to show the mls is rising and rising.
In some years the Mexican league will be considered a joke to the mls unfortunately

Liga MX is still ahaead of the MLS, but ya in a close future it will be closer and closer as MLS grows.

In no way will it be considered a joke though, you could tell there was a huge difference in talent in that game, the only 2 guys the Impact have tha can play with America were Piatti and Ciman.

You shouldn't be too concerned with what this guy posts here. He's notorious for being the most biased and deluded guy in this subforum and there's some maaaad competition.
