Well I for one hate United with a passion and support neither country I am from when it comes to international football games.. But the statements from other footballing legends don't lie ^_^


And we can reverse that.. The only two people who agree with you is a Liverpool fan and a German...

So what if pep and Zidane praised him, Zidane also said Gerrard was the best midfielder in the world a few years back.

"Is he the best in the world? He might not get the attention of [Lionel] Messi and Ronaldo but, yes, I think he just might be," Zidane said. "If you don't have a player like Steven Gerrard, who is the engine room, it can affect the whole team." - Mar 2009

Scholes was forced to play on the left for England to allow Gerrard and Lampard to play centrally. So obviously Sven thought both Lampard and Gerrard were better too

Well I do think Zidane's a bit to generous/humble when it comes to praising other players. I don't know how true the statements are but I remember reading:

"If Paul Scholes was French, Pires and I would be sitting on the bench"

"Zidane, how does it feel to be the best player in the world? - I don't know ask Scholes".


Both absolutely bullshit :lol:
