Let's not forget Spain though, they had a terrible WC, but something tells me they're not to be underestimated next EC/WC, not to mention they have the most depth to their squad of any team in the world.

Portugals era was 2000-2004 now they are a joke with 1 good player.
Englands clubs rather buy foreign players than giving own players a chance. England can be happy that they will qualify and Slovenia and Switzerland don't kick them out.

The only countries being able to defeat Germany by quality are France, Italy and Spain.
Germany having bad luck will add former Yugoslavia countries.

The last time foreign leagues bought so many German players was after 1990.
1994-2006 Germany had only 2-4 players playing in foreign leagues.

Look at the squads in France only 7 players play in France.
England 1 player for Scotland.... and most of the players could be replaced anytime because they got next to no experience.

The last time Germany had such a record they managed to drop out in Group Stage in Euro 2000.

And what about Englands Youth?
U21 2013. England managed to drop out with 3 straight losses and 1 was against Israel.
Germany won 2009 and most of them are in the current squad.
