a competent ref obviously doesn't give that one, but they won't punish him either - usually it's just play on. do it often enough, however, and the ref might eventually fall for it - and since VAR apparently only overturns penalties when the diver is clumsy af and at least 2 meters clear of any opposing player, once you get the whistle, your acting paid off.
not to be misunderstood: grats to england, they were the better team tonight imo, and it's definitely not undeserved they won all things considered - just how they did it is shameful...
gonna be a flopping fucking final for sure...
