Nani's Manchester United future in balance after brawl with team-mate
Nani has further angered Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson after an incident in which he landed a punch on a young team-mate.
The Portuguese winger exchanged words with Davide Petrucci after a feisty challenge in training this week and they later came together in the gym.
According to the Daily Mail, Nani called Petrucci over to see him in the midst of a workout, with other players expecting the pair to make up following their earlier disagreement.
But instead, the senior player hit out at the 20-year-old, before a host of players stepped in to break up the scuffle.
Sir Alex is already believed to be reaching the end of his tether with Nani, as he believes the winger wants to run down his contract and leave Old Trafford for free in just under two years.
He has demanded £130,000 a week to stay at Old Trafford - a salary United are not willing to match.
The Scot also showed signs of discontent when he hauled the Portuguese off at half-time during last weekend's win at Liverpool following a poor display, and he has a history of being ruthless with players he feels have stepped out of line, no matter how important they may be to the team.
