i wouldnt mind red cards for using the elbow in aerial duels at all
its unnecessary and disgusting

Well according to the rules its a red. Aerial challenges are much harder to judge aswell. In this instance, markovic looks behind him twice and then hits his opponent. Clear red.

Edit: on the game overall I just think Rodgers has himself to blame. Really bad formation imo ...
