Grats Irv, hopefully we don't fuck up tomorrow and have 2 English teams in the final 8

If it's anything like the 1st leg it should be a smashing game tomorrow, looking forward to it.

Leverkusen? Or couldn't we have gotten them?

And I dare say I'd have taken PSG, forgetting their capitulation against Barca, their performances against Arsenal were lackluster. And benfica, obviously would have taken them as an easier draw.

Right, forgot Leverkusen.

Still doesn't change Sevilla being one of the easiest teams (since they'd be in the bottom half of the list along with Benfica and Leverkusen)... unless you really do rate PSG below Sevilla.

Personally I'd say Bayern and Madrid > PSG > Sevilla > Leverkusen and Benfica.

So they're either 3rd or 4th pick depending on how you rate frenchies out of 6 teams.

Not saying they're the best team we're ever going to beat, but I'm still buzzing off knocking out what I consider to be a high tier european team. They might not be top, but at least people can't say shit like "lol brugges" over it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Can't argue with that. Even if they aren't in their best form atm, Sevilla is definitely a solid team. Perhaps a top 10 in Europe, idk, but a solid one in any case.

It's just funny how they always choke in this round. And against underdogs too. The other two times they made it out of the CL groups they were ko'd by CSKA and Fenerbahce (also missing penalties along the way  ) when they were expected to go through without too many problems.

If Sampaoli stays and they don't sell everyone again then I can totally see them breaking that "curse" soon though. They have the right foundation to build something similar to what Atlético has now or Valencia had 15 years ago.

somehow i just feel if or when lester progresses, uefa will screw them and deploy their corrupt refs to officiate. an english team battling relegation at home winning the CL?
No chance. Uefalona will not allow it.

Probably. But after yesterday's performance, I think we may have turned a few heads and aren't looking the sure fire way to the semis as we once were.

Plus we've made it further than much bigger teams than us at our first attempt. I'm chalking that up as a win tbh.

Anyone remember when people were worried Leicester would embarrass England in Europe?
