Nothing to change my mind about bruh, he's useless in a role that he is forced to be a passer and creator and that's what were seeing. He's good at making energetic runs, interceptions and covering a fair size of the field.

compared to our prime:

Marchisio-Pirlo-Vidal

In the first scenario you have decent work rate, decent physicality, decent creativity and bad passing. Only Pjanic is an excellent passer of the three.
Now lets look at the second midfield, excellent work rate, excellent physicality, excellent creativity and amazing passing.

Yes, I agree with both. When Marchisio comes back, it'll balance out better. Marchisio has great composure and can manage 100 touches in a game with above 90% accuracy in his passing, we really need that

Don't know the guy who wrote the article, but except for "we have 5 forwards and should play more of them", there is not a single decent argument for switching the formation throughout the whole piece of text.
4-3-3, 3-5-2, 4-1-4-1, 4-4-2 or whatever you want... it's all just numbers, used to dumb down much more important things (individual positioning, timing, runs, whatever a coach prefers) for the average viewer / supporter.

Seems like he tested that out in FIFA 17 or something like that and thought it works for him tbh.
