Shouldn't be the case tho

I guess, but the whole Marcos Alonso case is a pretty big issue here in Spain. Whenever there's an article about him on a sports website, 90% of the comments are about how him being a cunt that deserves to rot in jail, etc.

I guess that calling him would bring drama... I mean, if there's a constant shitstorm with Piqué because he's a very obvious closet separatist then a guy who was responsible for the death of a girl probably wouldn't get the best welcome by the fans.

Still, it would probably just be a matter of time... call up Marcos, help him deal with the pressure until people get used to him being called up, wait for him to have a few good games with la Roja, and people will begin to forgive and accept him.

Has probably learnt a lot from it though. Technically many other players have driven drunk, they just get lucky nothing serious happened..

of course they have been many others, but in the end nobody cares about those who drove under influence without hurting anyone

I find it schoking that for justice a young person's life can be worth 500 000 €

I can understand the point of view of the family, they might are very poor and the money might help them to get out of misery and help their other child, and seeing Alonso in jail or not wouldn't bring back their girl. But Spain's justice just put a price on murder.

If he continues like this he might become a sure starter for Bayern.
