i think you're being a little too hard on him, he had some very impressive performances this and also last season. and although he looks somewhat lackluster from time to time, his tactical brillance, his pinpoint passing and his insane shot are always a threat to the other team. and guardiola, much like heynckes values him very much as far as i can tell - and rightfully so...
