Because there are exceptions to every rule but that doesn't completely demolish the rule itself.

Edit: i think they want alexis to do kind of what cuadrado did on the right to replace lichsteiner. Since evra is getting old, alex sandro will be playing more a defensive role while alexis sanchez will play the pacy winger role

I doubt we could get 10M for Hernanes, I would walk him to wherever that place may be if that was the case, his wages are quite high (3M- which is what Dybala earns to give you an idea and while Juventus can comfortably afford that, teams that could benefit from Hernanes may not feel the same)

I'm a fan of Alexis Sanchez but it's another one that wouldn't make sense no matter which way you spin it, spending BIG on a forward after signing Higuain and Pjaca for big money and retaining Dybala and Mandzukic
In theory, an attack of Sanchez-Higuain-Dybala would be devastating and in reserve we could have Pjaca-Mandzukic-Cuadrado which is also very strong and exciting.

However, the midfield issue is ongoing, whether we play a 3-4-3, a 3-5-2, a 4-3-3, a 4-3-1-2 or any other variation you can think of, with Pogba gone, Marchisio out and Khedira injury prone, the only reliable and truly world class talented midfielder we have is Pjanic. It's gone from our strongest point to a point that is currently lacking- I wouldn't say this if Marchisio was fit but a torn ACL is an issue for any player.

With all that being said, the priority remains a midfielder with at least some defensive qualities. I believe it could be Matuidi or Brozovic (who Marotta said we would not sign and Inter said would not sign to Juventus but to me that only means he is closer to being signed, if we use the Higuain signing as an example)
