that just showed exactly what I said, their income (and your sheet for transfer spending) is about the level of fulham, villa etc. Utd in both 04 and 07 spent more in a year than everton in 10. Utd's net total is lower from 1 huge ronaldo transfer as well.
There's the 200mil+ guys and then there's the 40mil- guys

Moyes at his level of spending compared to the other teams have done consistently well.

Also, celebrating beating United like winning the World Cup, a bit pathetic really.

That one match has nothing to do with how good SAF, Moyes are as managers, or how much money Utd and everton have.

Net spend of £45m is hardly shoe string budget though like everyone is trying to make.
They also sold Lescott to City for an inflated price so you might as good as take this one out, so it's closer to £70m

You can count ronaldo/lescott, or you can count neither but still Everton have spent about a quarter of what Man U spent in the pass years.
On top of transfer fees Everton also can't afford the high wages some of the top teams pay.

In modern day football 45mil in 10 years is a shoe string budget, it gets you maybe 2 top players in 10 bloody years.

There's a 9 figure a year revenue guys like Man U, Real, Barca, or 9 figure a year injection like Chelsea, Man city. Then there's the other little guys (financially speaking).
And to say Moyes is shit is bullocks, for his budget he's done a great job.

Not to mention from a Man U prospective he's top 3 as SAF's replacement.
look at the betting odds and what SAF said.

Moyes is good enough for SAF but shit for you? Nice one.

Yea, let's face it, if he was deemed good enough, a better club would've already poached him.
I don't want his dour football at United.

Manager of the year award: SAF - 3, Moyes - 3, no one else have 3 or more. But apparently you think he's shit.

Chelsea - Roman knows he wouldn't get along with Moyes, not to mention he normally likes to go for foreign big name managers.
Liverpool - Going over the other side of Mersey Side... Neither the previous or current Yank owners would want to stick their neck out like that.

Clearly he wouldn't displace SAF or Wenger at Utd/Arsenal, he isn't never going to displace Mourinho at Madrid or Pep at Barca. Not to mention the rarity of Biritish managers at big La liga, Serie A, Bundesliga clubs.

He maybe could have gone to City at some stage, where else could he possible go with chelsea, liverpool, utd, arsenal out. Spuds don't count as a better club.
